Adhesive vs heat transfer vinyl

Question

Is it possible to use heat transfer vinyl on hard surfaces without applying heat? Love the patterned and glow in the dark HTV on the home page, but I do very little work on fabric.

Hi @DonnaJ ! You can use heat transfer vinyl on hard surfaces like glass, canvas, wood, or even paper but you will still need to apply heat to get it to adhere. Here are so great blog posts on how to use HTV on non-fabric materials:

Glass: https://www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2015/07/applying-heat-transfer-vinyl-on-glass.html

Paper: https://kaylamakes.com/2017/06/13/using-htv-paper-create-custom-invitations/

Wood: https://www.lemonthistle.com/tips-for-using-iron-transfer-vinyl-on-wood/

Hope this helps! ?
