Heat transfer vinyl and the original Cricut

Recommended Posts

Did you know you can cut heat transfer vinyl on the original cricut?  This is a onesie I made for my granddaughter using an older cricut. I set the speed dial on 3, the pressure  dial on 4 and the depth of the cutter on 4 to achive the “kiss” cut to be able to cut the vinyl and leave the liner in tact.  Worked great!

Do you still need to mirror the design before cutting?

CarrieG, as far as I know, there is no way to mirror an image with the older Cricut machine so you can’t do lettering with heat transfer.

Here are two of the cards I made using the cute freebie SVG you provided. Many thanks to Lovebird Heartworks and Craftey.
